VALDOSTA — The “oohs” and “ahs” that will fill the air at Wild Adventures Theme Park starting Thursday can be attributed to the park’s latest additions — brother and sister African lion cubs that are set to make their public debut.

The pair will join Wild Adventures’ lion exhibit and be available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at the park.

The as-yet-unnamed lions join the hundreds of animals on exhibit at the theme park, which also features thrill rides, games, Splash Island Water Park and a seasonal All-Star Concert Series that showcases some of the hottest musical acts from a number of genres. On Saturday, Academy Award nominee-turned-pop-singer Hailee Steinfeld will make her debut at Wild Adventures’ All-Star Amphitheater.

Steinfeld was nominated for a Supporting Actress Oscar at age 14 for her role in “True Grit.” Now 19, she is perhaps best known — at least by younger fans — for her role as Emily in the 2015 hit “Pitch Perfect 2.” Her female empowerment pop anthem “Love Myself” from 2015 catapulted Steinfeld to pop music stardom, and her latest release, the single “Rock Bottom,” features the group DNCE.

Wild Adventures, which is located off Interstate 75 at 3766 Old Clyattville Road, will hold a contest during the coming weeks to name the sibling cubs.

Information about all Wild Adventures activities is available online at WildAdventures.com or by calling (229) 219-7080.
