Willson Hospice House receives donation from Albany Marathon proceeds

ALBANY — The Albany Marathon Board of Directors presented on Wednesday the proceeds from this year’s race, a $25,000 check, to the Willson Hospice House. Albany Marathon Inc. President Dr. Jose Tongol thanked marathon staff and volunteers for helping put the marathon together each year. He said the marathons “have already raised as much as $265,000.” The newest medal designs for the Albany Marathon and Half Marathon, revealed at the check presentation, feature the Ray Charles Plaza as the background.
