ALBANY — Christopher Worsham was the top wing eater and two local restaurants captured top prizes at the 6th annual Wing fest that was conducted Saturday at the Exchange Club fairgrounds on South Westover Boulevard.

Officials with the Wing Fest say Worsham downed 13 chicken wings in two minutes to win the timed eating event.

Meanwhile, Albany’s Billy Boys got first place for Best Hot Wings. The best Mild Wings award went to JC’s Wingz, an out-of-town vendor.

The People’s Choice Award went to local business Tay’s Wings & Catering.

The Wing Fest, conducted each March, features live musical entertainment, games and entertainment, and food, in addition to the contests. The event raised funds for the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia.
