ALBANY — Friendship Missionary Baptist Church will host a women’s conference May 18-20. The Heart, Mind & Soul conference is set to feature a church service led by Angela Shumate, a brunch hosted by Laila Jackson and a “Pink Out Sunday” service. This is the first time Friendship Missionary has held this specific women’s conference.

The conference’s theme is “My Sister’s Keeper.” Tamiko Jackson, the conference’s host, said that a couple of the event’s goals are “uplifting all nationalities and religions and being a spotlight in the dark for troubled women.”

The church service will be May 18 from 7-9 p.m.; the brunch will be held May 19 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; Pink Out Sunday service will be May 20.

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church is located at 400 Pine Ave. Interested parties can reach Tamiko Jackson at (229) 291-5568 or Geraldine Cranston at (229) 436-1284 for more information.
