Woodmen Life to host Sept. 11 remembrance ceremony in Calhoun County
‘In Honor & Remembrance’ ceremony set for Saturday

MORGAN — WoodmenLife Chapter 21 will participate in a Sept. 11 “In Honor & Remembrance” ceremony at the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Saturday.
“WoodmenLife members and associates nationwide organize ‘In Honor & Remembrance’ ceremonies each year,” said Selina Morgan, the president of Chapter 21. “These ceremonies give members, family and friends a chance to remember those lives that were lost on that tragic day.”
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. and will include the presentation of flags to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. There will also be a keynote speech from Nathaniel Williams, a retired U.S. Army Sergeant and the current Deputy Warden of Security at Calhoun State Prison.
The event will also be attended by various state and local government officials and clergy, as well as WoodmenLife Recruiting Sales Manager Blaine Strickland, and representatives of Chapter 21.
The Calhoun Sheriff’s Office is located at 66 Court Street in Morgan. The public is welcome to attend.
