From staff reports

ALBANY — A new section of Jefferson Street has been closed by city of Albany officials due to a water leak.

The updated road closure is between Second and Third avenues.

The original closure between Third and Fourth avenues has been re-opened. Detour signs are on site and will guide motorists around the construction.

Work on the leak could cause delays during drive time, and drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes while construction is underway.

The city plans to re-open the street once repairs are complete.
