Lomax, Wiles win region STAR Student, Teacher titles

AMERICUS — Westover Comprehensive High School senior Michael Lomax won the Region 9 STAR Student award Monday.
Lomax selected his favorite teacher, his seventh- and eighth-grade language arts teacher Carole Wiles from Merry Acres Middle School, as his STAR Teacher.
The pair advance to the state competition set for April 28 at the downtown Hilton Hotel in Atlanta.
