Maintenance planned on Thomasville railroad crossings

The 2024 Thomasville Antiques Show will feature high-end antiques and fine art exhibitors who travel from all over the United States to display their treasures. The show’s mission is to raise funds for non-profit organizations that directly benefit children’s programs in Thomasville and has raised more than $3.2 million over its 35-year history.
Admission: General admission $25. Noon box lunch, $15. Other events will be held.

THOMASVILLE – CSX Transportation has notified the city of Thomasville of scheduled maintenance and repairs on multiple railroad crossings along Campbell Street beginning Monday.
“According to the information provided to the city of Thomasville, Campbell Street railroad crossings between Davenport Drive and Industrial Boulevard and near Law Street and Fleming Street will be temporarily closed,” Chris White, city executive director for utilities, said in a news release. “CSX expects the crossings to be closed for approximately two to five days. These dates are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen conditions.”
The city will provide updates on this scheduled work as it is made available from CSX. Travelers in the area are encouraged to exercise caution while utilizing detours, be aware of potential traffic delays or select an alternate route.
