Motorist deigns to follow traffic laws

I witnessed driver rage and stress yesterday, and it was I who was full of rage and stress. It happened as I pulled behind an elderly lady driver who was waiting to turn off Dawson Road with her turn signal on.

Then, as I followed her, she had the nerve to stop at the first stop sign — a complete stop! It has been years since I have seen anyone come to a complete stop.

After at least two seconds, she looked both ways and proceeded at or below the speed limit. I was at my wit’s end. It only got worse — she did the same thing at the next three stop signs.

I was witnessing a rare if not completely extinct happening. She must be a throwback to years ago when humans took traffic laws seriously and obeyed them. I’m just glad I probably will not have to again put up with this type of aberrant behavior.
