Albany Museum of Art features artwork by local and nationally known artists. While the exhibits change throughout the year, children can rely on the AMAzing space where they can create their own artwork.

The growing collection includes 19th and 20th century American and European paintings, drawings, sculptures, watercolors, prints and photographs. Included in the museum are a 200-seat auditorium and a classroom.

Just this year the museum completed a substantial expansion and renovation project which included the Harry and Jane Willson Auditorium, lobby and additional public spaces.

Karen Kemp is executive director of Albany Museum of Art. David Griffin is preparator and collections and exhibitions manager. Cristin Kirbo is director of marketing and special events. Alphonso Bogans is director of operations and Yvonne Jones is museum services coordinator.

The museum, located at 311 Meadowlark Drive adjacent to Darton State College, is observing its 30th year of operation.

The Albany Museum of Art is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
