ALBANY, Ga. — Wine enthusiasts from around Southwest Georgia will gather at the Albany Museum of Art at 7 p.m. today to challenge their taste buds for a good cause.

Albany’s second annual Blind Wine Tasting will benefit the Pay It forWARD fund.

Participants can register as a team of four or as an individual taster. Each team brings four bottles of the same wine. Three are placed in bags to hide their identity. The bottles are randomly numbered and set out to taste.

The remaining bottle is placed in reserve. Attendees sample the same wines and place votes for the best wine. The team that brings the winning wine gets to take home all the reserve bottles.

The Pay it forWARD fund through the Jay’s HOPE Foundation is named in honor of childhood cancer hero Ward Wright. The fund provides direct support to children battling cancer in Southwest Georgia.
