ALBANY — The year’s first quarterly meeting of the Albany and Dougherty County Council of Community Neighborhood Watch Association is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Community Room of the Albany Law Enforcement Center, 201 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.

Featured will be a special presentation by Maj. Bill Berry of the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit. He is expected to provide an overview of abused illegal and prescription drugs.

“Mostly I’ll be making people more aware of some of the drugs out there and the buzz words used by drug dealers and others,” Berry said, “so it’s easier to recognize some of the problems we face in our neighborhoods.”

Berry said there is no cost to attend the neighborhood watch meeting or the drug presentation, which is expected to last up to half an hour.
