New city manager to meet the public

ALBANY — Jon Howard, Albany Ward I city commissioner has announced the planned appearance of new City Manager Sharon Subadan at his Town Hall meeting Saturday.
According to Howard, Subadan will provide an overview of her vision for the City of Albany and answer questions from members of the community.
“Please invite your neighbors, friends, concerned citizens and students to the meeting to meet Ms. Subadan and become well informed on community issues,” Howard said in a statement.
Howard said the meeting will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the East Albany Community Center at 1721 E. Oglethorpe Blvd. and last for about an hour.

Albany gas prices among Georgia’s lowest as summer fuel costs decline
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the Albany metro area was approximately $3.45 this week, making Albany the second-least expensive metro market in Georgia behind Dalton at $3.41 and slightly ahead of Brunswick at $3.48.
