Making Strides for Multiple Sclerosis hosted its 2024 walk Saturday. More than 100 people gathered at the Government Center Building on Pine Avenue to hear from local MS “warriors,” the Dougherty Comprehensive High School band, chorus group and more. Families, friends and church groups gathered to support those living with MS. Attendees were encouraged to pay attention to possible symptoms. Dougherty Principal Jerry Sanders, an MS warrior himself, gave a message of encouragement, saying those living with MS, may look fine on the outside but most don’t know the half of what they go through.
This event was founded by Annette Robinson who hosted the Albany nonprofit’s first walk in 2017.
