ALBANY — The Albany Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a subject caught on a surveillance video while entering an auto Sunday morning at 860 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.

APD officials report that officers responded to the above location where the victim stated that an unknown male entered a blue 2008 Chevrolet Impala through the passenger side door at 9:58 a.m. Once inside the vehicle, the suspect went into the trunk and stole speakers, a stereo, and an amplifier.

The theft occurred after the suspect climbed over a fence located on the west side of the business. The suspect was captured on surveillance video taken from the business.

If anyone is able to identify the suspect, they should call Crime-Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS.

ALBANY POLICE DEPARTMENT: Albany police responded to at least 60 calls from from early Sunday to early Monday morning, according to available reports. Some of the incidents were:

— Burglary 2nd degree on the 1800 block of North Slappey Boulevard, the 2700 block of Phillips Drive, the 100 block of Pine Avenue and the 200 block of Cordele Road.

— Burglary 1st degree on the 70 block of Dobbs Drive, the 2100 block of Beachview Drive, the 2000 block of Clark Avenue, the 400 block of Jefferies Avenue and the 500 block of Dorsett Avenue.

— Forgery 1st degree, on the 100 block of North Slappey Boulevard.

— Entering auto on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard, two counts on the 100 block of South Front Street and the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard.

— Theft by taking on the 800 block of Harding Street, the 500 block of Meadowlark Drive and the 600 block of West Whitney Avenue.

— Criminal trespass on the 500 block of Odum Avenue, the 200 block of Turner Field Road, the 200 block of Edison Drive and the 1300 block of South Jefferson Street.

— Wanted person on the 1900 block of South Harding Street and the 400 block of West Whitney Avenue.

— Disorderly conduct on the 1500 block of South Slappey Boulevard and the 2000 block of South Jackson Street.

— Suspended license on the 2800 block of Rosebrier Avenue, the 130 block of Liberty Expressway and the 2200 block of Nottingham Way.

— Probation violation on the 600 block of East Broad Avenue.

— Assault on the 600 block of West Society Avenue, the 300 block of Carriage Lane and the 900 block of Frotscher Street.

— Shoplifting on the 2600 block of Dawson Road.

— Vehicle theft on the 600 block of South Jackson Street.

— Affray at the intersection of West Lincoln Avenue and Van Buren Street.

— Simple Battery on the 1400 block of 1st Avenue and the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard.

— Firearm discharge on the 800 block of Cotton Avenue.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT: The DCPD responded to 14 calls from 6 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday, according to available reports. Three incident reports were filed. Among them were:

— Criminal damage on the 3500 block of Sylvester Road.

— Motor vehicle Theft on the 4600 block of Aristedes Court.

— Family violence on the 3300 block of War Eagle Avenue.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT : The AFD responded to at least 78 calls from 8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Monday. According to available reports, the vast majority of the calls, at least 42, were due to downed power lines from the weekend’s storms. Other incidents were eight alarm activations, along with two each of two smoke scare, unauthorized burning, motor vehicle accident, arcing wires and medical assist. The department also responded to one vehicle fire, a police assist and a cooking fire.
