ALBANY, Ga. — Albany Police Department officers responded to at least 44 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Motor vehicle theft of two Chrysler PT Cruisers on the 700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Theft by taking a window air conditioner on the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue;
— Discharging a firearm on the 300 block of Merritt Street;
— Battery on the 1800 block of Keystone Avenue;
— Deceased person on the 1500 block of Highland Avenue;
— Burglary on the 2200 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard, the 300 block of Wells Avenue;
— Entering auto theft of a gun on the 300 block of Fifth Avenue;
— Entering auto on the 400 block of Kingswood Drive and the 600 block of Fifth Avenue;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 2600 block of McCoy Lane, the 700 block of West Second Avenue, the 1300 block of North Washington Street and the 800 block of Pine Avenue;
— Criminal trespass (domestic violence) on the 700 block of West Second Avenue;
— Simple battery (domestic) on the 1400 block of South Jefferson Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE:
Dougherty County police responded to at least 23 calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Traffic arrest for failure to stop at a stop sign and driving without a license;
— Littering/wanted person, while speaking to two men about a littering violation police found that one of the men had a warrant for a probation violation on him and he also resisted arrest. Both men were arrested on the 600 block of Holly Drive;
— Criminal trespass warning on the 400 block of South Westover Boulevard.
DOUGHERTY EMS:
Emergency medical services responded to 58 calls on Wednesday. There were 42 medical calls, 13 trauma calls and three other calls. Medical calls included, four chest pains, seven respiratory problems, one nausea vomiting, one faint, two diabetic complaints, four seizures, one obstetrics, two mental problems, five miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrest, two stroke symptoms and 11 various medical. Trauma calls included five vehicle crash injuries, one pedestrian injury, five falls, one lacerations and one fights/assaults. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
