ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 31 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— A rape accusation on the 1800 block of Seay Court; investigation is continuing;
— Burglary on the 1600 block of East Broad Avenue, the 1400 block of Gillespie Avenue; the 1100 block of Julia Avenue, the 600 block of North Westover Avenue, the 1300 block of Mercantile Drive, the 400 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, and the 2300 block of Pearce Avenue;
— Theft by taking a bicycle on the 100 block of Bridges Lane;
— Theft by taking a 2-year-old chow dog named “Blackey” on the 1200 block of West Waddell Avenue;
— Theft by taking a debit card on the 600 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Theft by taking a battery from a vehicle on the 1400 block of East Roosevelt Avenue;
— Theft by taking a boat on the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Entering auto on the 300 block of Moultrie Road and the 1800 block of Seay Court;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue, the 4500 block of Chateau Drive, the 300 block of South Jackson Street and the 2800 block of Doublegate Drive;
— Vandalism (family violence) on the 1700 block of Mobile Avenue;
— Theft by taking a handgun (domestic violence) on the 500 block of Holloway Avenue;
— Simple battery (family violence) on the 2400 block of Dawson Road.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least six calls, according to available police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Domestic violence on the 3500 block of Sylvester Road;
— Forgery of a U.S. Treasury check on the 600 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Theft of a $225 bicycle from a yard on the 5300 block of Doles Road;
— Terroristic act/criminal trespass on the 3400 block of Clark Avenue.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 59 calls on Wednesday. There were 39 medical calls, 18 trauma calls and two other calls. Medical calls included, seven chest pains, three respiratory problems, nausea vomiting, two altered mental state, three diabetic complaints, two mental problems, three allergic reaction, two miscellaneous pain calls, one stroke symptoms and 16 various medical. Trauma calls included nine vehicle crash injuries, seven falls, one lacerations and one fights/assault. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to five calls, including two unattended cooking, one active alarm, a lawn mower on fire and a bush fire.
