ALBANY, Ga. — Albany Police Department officers responded to at least 47 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Possession of cocaine, a man seen urinating on the side of a maroon Chevrolet Blazer was found to be in possession of a knotted plastic bag holding cocaine on the 300 block of South Davis Street;
— Aggravated assault, a girlfriend hit a man in the head with an object on the 500 block of Pinson Road;
— Recovered property, a model 23 Glock .40-caliber pistol and two magazines with 24 rounds of ammunition were found at a car wash on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;
— Theft by taking on the 2500 block of Doublegate Drive;
— Burglary on the 1700 block of Avalon Avenue, the 1700 block of Jackson Street, the 3100 block of Savannah Lane, the 600 block of Cleveland Street and the 1300 block of South Madison Street;
— Violation of family protection order on the 100 block of Almond Drive;
— Entering auto on the 1700 block of Acker Drive and the 2300 block of Springdale Court;
— Rape on the 700 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 1800 block of Pineneedle Lane;
— Theft by taking an air conditioner on the 900 block of North Cleveland Street and of a push lawnmower on the 1500 block of Malone Drive;
— Simple assault on the 2200 block of Dawson Road;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 1300 block of South McKinley Street, the 2100 block Evergreen Drive and the 1300 block of Residence Avenue;
— Simple battery (family violence) on the 2400 block of Leonard Avenue;
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 24 calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Criminal trespass, damage to a mailbox on the 3800 block of Quail Hollow Road;
— Harassing phone calls on the 3400 block of Aristedes Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 68 calls on Wednesday. There were 48 medical calls, 17 trauma calls and three other calls. Medical calls included, four chest pains, four respiratory problems, nausea vomiting, two faint, one altered mental state, two diabetic complaints, two seizures, four obstetrics, two mental problems, a miscellaneous pain calls, a heat-related call, one stroke symptoms and 24 various medical. Trauma calls included six vehicle crash injuries, four falls, three bites and four fights/assaults. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to nine calls including:
— A response to gas odor, an activated alarm, unattended cooking caused $1,000 fire, smoke reported from air conditioner, carbon monoxide detector went off, boy with an arm caught in a pool table, overheated clothes dryer and a vehicle fire.
