APD responds to at least 59 incidents
ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 59 incidents Friday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Motor vehicle theft on the 1100 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Soliciting on the 1500 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Burglary on the 400 block of South McKinley Street;
— Giving false name on the 1500 block of Clark Avenue;
— Drunken driving on the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Aggravated stalking on the 500 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
— Burglaries on the 1200 block of Parker Avenue, the 1600 block of Jones Avenue, the 600 block of West Mercer Avenue, the 1000 block of East Fourth Avenue, the 900 block of Colquitt Circle, the 1300 block of West Lincoln Avenue, the 400 block of Heard Avenue and the 1300 block of Montego Court;
— Aggravated assault on the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Forgery in the first degree, passing bogus currency, on the 500 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Entering an auto for theft of a purse on the 1100 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Theft by taking on the 100 block of Northland Court;
— Simple battery (family violence) on the 1500 block of Colquitt Avenue;
— Simple assault, terroristc threats and acts (domestic violence) on the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Drive;
— Assault (family violence) on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road;
— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 500 block of Park Lane, the 900 block of Willow Wood Drive, the 1000 block of Crawford Drive, the 200 block of Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 200 block of Cordele Road, the 3600 block of Newton Road, the 200 block of Kaman Avenue; the 200 block of Butler Drive, the 2600 block of Cardinal Court, the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 1300 block of 10th Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 30 calls Friday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Family violence (verbal) on the on the 1900 block of Weymouth Drive;
— Traffic arrest (narcotics): A strong odor of marijuana from a vehicle during a traffic stop led to the driver’s arrest on possession of less than an ounce of marijuana on the 1400 block of West Oakridge Drive;
— Theft of more than $500: A thief tore a pay phone from its concrete foundation on the 700 block of Cordele Road.
