APD responds to at least 20 incidents
ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 20 incidents Thursday, according to police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Entering auto, theft of a purse from a silver Mazda Protege on the 800 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Theft by taking money from an employer on the 2700 block of Dawson Road;
— Entering auto on the 800 block of Swift Street;
— Terroristic threats and acts on the 1700 block of Edgerly Avenue;
— Forgery in first degree passing of bogus currency on the 300 block of Cordele Road;
— Entering auto on the 2300 block of Dawson Road;
— Burglary on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;
— Animal at large, a black chijuajua on the loose on the 200 block of Pinebluff Road;
— Inhumane treatment of a pit bull mix on the 1400 block of Eager Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 20 calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Domestic violence (verbal) on the 1500 block of Lily Pond Road;
— Vehicle crash involving a deer on the 300 block of Eight Mile Road;
— Burglary (residential) on the 3900 block of Fleming Road;
— Animal investigation of dogs killing newborn calf in a field. Dog owner charged with having dogs at large and dogs taken to shelter;
— Family violence (under investigation) on the 1200 block of McKenzie Road;
— Domestic violence ( simple battery) on the 2800 block of Home Drive.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 11 calls including:
— Structure fire that was out on arrival, four activated alarms, a vehicle crash clean up, a vehicle crash to give aid, a cardiac arrest and an assist EMS call.
