ALBANY, Ga. — Albany Police Department officers responded to at least 33 incidents Tuesday into the early hours of Wednesday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Theft by deception, a vehicle rented with false paperwork was not returned on the 3900 block of Newton Road;
— Criminal trespass, tires on a Ford Explorer and a GMC pickup punctured on the 1600 block of Whitney Drive;
— Burglary on the 2800 block of North Doublegate Drive, the 2000 block of Melrose drive, the 2000 block of Sharon Drive, the 200 block of Ebony Lane and the 900 block of South Street;
— Entering auto on the 100 block of Whittlesay Court;
— Injured person on the 2500 block of Cherokee Drive, a man arguing on the phone with his ex-wife punched out the china cupboard and suffered a laceration to his arm;
— Robbery by force on the 200 block of McKinley Street;
— Simple assault (family violence) on the 400 block of Harding Street;
— Simple battery (domestic violence) on the 200 block of West First Street;
— Terroristic threats and acts (family violence) on the 1100 block of South Monroe Street and on the first block of Wayne Way;
— Assault (family violence) on the 900 block of Willow Wood Drive;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 200 block of Pinebluff Road and the 500 block Seventh Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE:
Dougherty County police responded to at least 16 calls, according to available police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— family violence on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road and the 500 block of Old Pretoria Road;
— Theft of a $300 lawnmower on the 600 block of Southgate Drive.
LEE SHERIFF:
Lee County deputies responded to at least six calls, according to police reports. Deputies responded to incidents including:
— Theft and recovery of property on the 2800 block of Ledo Road and the 1700 block of Philema Road;
— Recovered lost purse on the 2900 block of Ledo Road.
ALBANY FIRE:
Albany firefighters responded to 77 calls from June 25 through Tuesday including:
— Twenty-five activated alarms, a vacant structure fire with $15,000 in damage and a structure fire with $35,000 in damages, two vehicle extraction, two unattended cooking, lightning started a shed fire, six EMS assists, five arcing wires or transformers, lightning strike no fire, tree on power lines, nine other down power lines, five false alarms, one resident locked out, a personal water craft rescue, an animal rescue, trash bin fire, three public service talks, roof blown off structure, two overheated motors, power outage due to surge, two vehicle fires and two calls to rescue victims stuck in elevators.
