ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 50 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Armed robbery, a man pointed a gun and stole a purse on the 1500 block of Van Buren Street and another armed robbery was reported on the 400 block of Ebony Lane;
— Theft by taking on the 1100 block of Avalon Avenue and the 700 block of West Society Avenue;
— Burglary, theft of copper wire and tubing on the 300 block of Wells Avenue;
— Burglary on the 600 block of Burke Avenue, the 2400 block of Dawson Roafd and the 2500 block of Canterbury Court;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 1300 block of East Residence Avenue, the 1200 block of Langston Court, and the 200 block of Cone Street;
— Defecating in public on the 2300 block of Habersham Road;
— Entering auto on the 1300 block of West Highland Avenue and the 700 block of North Jefferson Street;
— Felony theft by taking of a .38-caliber revolver on the 400 block of Flint Avenue, of $300 in cash from a purse on the 200 block of Whitehead Drive;
— Simple battery on the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue;
— Theft by taking of an air conditioner from a roof of a business on the 400 block of Sana’s Drive;
— Child molestation on the 300 block of Gaines Avenue;
— Possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, on the 600 block of Burke Avenue;
— Shots fired, shell casings found from a 9mm Luger on the 1300 block of East First Street;
— Possession of marijuana on the 1200 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
Assault (domestic violence) on the 200 block of South Mock Road;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 600 block of Heard Avenue, the 100 block of Telfair Lane, the 1900 block of Keystone Avenue, the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 33 calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Theft of a $500 Old Town Kayak, an $1,800 Milledge Outback Hobie Cat Kayak and a $800 blue Perception Kayak on Georgia Power Road. The Milledge kayak was seen on the back of a truck. The kayak was recovered and two suspects brought in for questioning. The case remains under investigation;
— Traffic arrest/wanted person at Oakridge Drive and Gaines Avenue;
— Narcotics investigation involving less than an ounce of marijuana on the 2400 block of Nottingham Road;
— Family violence (no evidence) on the 1700 block of Lily Pond Road;
— Burglary, theft of $2,077 worth of cash, iPods, a credit card, a Dell laptop and charger, three pairs of Converse sneakers and other items on the 2700 block of McCall Court;
— Lost property, a $168 .22 caliber Phoenix Arms gun on the 400 block of Pine Bluff Road;
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 44 calls on Wednesday. There were 33 medical calls, nine trauma calls and two other calls. Medical calls included, three chest pains, three respiratory problems, one fever, five altered mental state, one heat-related call, one mental problems, one cardiac arrest, and 18 various medical. Trauma calls included three vehicle crash injuries, four falls, one laceration and one fights/assault. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
LEE SHERIFF: Lee County deputies responded to at least seven calls, according to police reports.
Deputies responded to incidents including:
— Entering auto on the 100 block of Autumn Leaf Drive and the 100 block of Crabapple Court;
— Criminal trespass on the 100 block of Creek Drive and the 100 block of Stewart Court;
— Traffic stop of two motorcycles racing on U.S. 82 at Oakland Road.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to seven calls including, Three activated alarms, a down power line, a vehicle fire extinguished, assist Albany Police Department on a welfare check and an EMS assist.
