ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 48 incidents Tuesday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— A stabbing victim being treated at Palmyra Medical Center. Nichols Jamil, 21, reported being attacked and stabbed several times while he walked near South Monroe Street and Mercer Avenue Tuesday night. The weapon is unknown and the case is under investigation, a police report stated;
— Theft by taking a female miniature German shepherd from the front yard of a residence on the 1900 block of 12th Avenue;
— Entering autos on the 2500 block of Doublegate Drive, the 200 block of Flint Avenue and the 7700 block of Abbey Lane;
— Motor vehicle thefts on the 500 block of Swift Street, the 2700 block of Dawson Street, the 1900 block of North Riverview Circle, the 2500 block of Nottingham Way and the 600 block of Westover Boulevard;
— Forgery in the first degree, passing a bogus $50 bill, on the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road;
— Robbery by sudden snatching of jewelry at a shop on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;
— Burglaries on the 500 block of Summit Drive, the 600 block of North Ingleside Drive, the 1700 block of Gillespie Avenue, the 700 block of Mitchell Avenue, the 2100 block of Edgewater Drive and the 1200 block of Ninth Avenue;
— Battery (domestic) on the 200 block of Slater King Drive;
— Acts of vandalism (family violence) on the 900 block of Crawford Drive and the 600 block of West Haley Street;
— Simple battery (domestic violence) on the 1900 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 500 block of Bobbitt Drive and the 1900 block of Crawford Drive.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 21 calls Tuesday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— A traffic stop resulted in jail for a driver with a suspended license, no trailer lights, no insurance and other violations on the 500 block of South County Line Road;
— Family violence (unfounded) on the 500 block of Pine Bluff Road;
— Motor vehicle theft of a $13,000, 2004 gold International 9000 series semi-truck cab on the 4300 block of Radium Springs Road;
— Theft of a $330 red and silver Schwinn mountain bike on the 400 block of Holly Drive;
— Burglary, theft of a chain saw and a $697 backpack blower, from a shed on the 6300 block of Hedder Street;
— Domestic violence (verbal) on the 3500 block of Sylvester Road;
— Dog bite leading to the shooting death of a stray dog by the victim, who had been trying to feed the dog, on the 2100 block of South County Line Road.
LEE SHERIFF: Lee County deputies responded to at least six calls Tuesday, according to reports. Deputies responded to incidents including:
— A wanted person on the 100 block of the Leslie Highway and the 1800 block of Georgia Highway 32;
— Burglary (non-forced), theft of $1,900 in goods and clothing, on the 1200 block of Usury Road;
— Possession of a weapon and assault on the 1200 block of Georgia Highway 82;
— Forgery, passing a bogus $10 bill, on the 1200 block of Georgia Highway 82.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to nine calls including smoke odor, a brush and grass fire, two active alarms, two vehicle crashes, one with injuries, a false alarm and a yard debris fire.
