“We had information that there was a shotgun and two pistols in the house,” Dodd said. “We found one gun and drugs in a purse with $500 in 20s and 50s.”

Talemicus Nix, 31, and Sharmetrise Harper, 26, were arrested about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at 1114 S. Van Buren St., Dodd said. They were charged with possession of 0.6 gram of cocaine, three tablets of ecstasy and possession of a loaded .380 Lorcin semi-automatic handgun by a felon, he added.

The cocaine was in small bags and within 1,000 feet of a school, Dodd said. The other guns deputies had been told about were not found and may have been sold, he said.
