ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Police Department is investigating a string of aggravated assault cases involving firearms that took place over the weekend.

At 5 p.m. Sunday, available reports indicate that someone reported to police that an individual had discharged a firearm at him or her at 312 Vick St. Another one of the cases also included an incident that occurred at 8 p.m. at 600 Sands Drive, Apt. 1401 at 8 p.m. the same day, in which two victims stated that someone unlawfully discharged a firearm toward them.

Another incident occurred at the 500 block of Cedar Avenue, during which officers were called out in reference to a missing juvenile just before 10 p.m. Sunday. The report indicated that a firearm had been involved.

The incidents are under investigation.

ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 60 incidents Saturday and Sunday. The available reports include:

— Assault on the 2300 block of Threadneedle Court and on the 500 block of Swift Street;

— Vandalism on the 1100 block of Eager Drive;

— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 700 block of Colquitt Circle and on the 1200 block of Westwood Drive;

— Family violence (unfounded) on the 100 block of Shelby Lane;

— Simple battery (domestic violence), criminal trespass (domestic violence) on the 1900 block of Elkhorn Lane;

— Recovered property on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road and on the 900 block of Pine Avenue;

— Criminal trespass on the 1300 block of East Society Avenue and on the 900 block of Lippitt Drive;

— Missing juvenile on the 2600 block of Habersham Road;

— Driving on a suspended license on the 100 block of South Slappey Boulevard;

— Criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree on the 300 block of Slater King Drive and on the 400 block of Louis Avenue;

— Simple battery on the 1100 block of South Cleveland Street and on the 900 block of Radium Springs Road;

— Burglary on the 800 block of West Broad Avenue. Authorities are investigating a break-in at the New Beginnings Church that took place around 11 a.m Sunday.

— Entering auto on the 2300 block of East Broad Avenue;

— Aggravated battery on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of Pine Avenue and on the 800 block of North Jackson Street;

— Theft by taking on the 500 block of West Gordon Avenue and on the 1200 block of Sixth Avenue;

— Discharging a gun on or near a public highway on the 300 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Aggravated assault on the 2100 block of Colquitt Avenue. Just after midnight on Sunday, officers were called out to the scene after one brother had cut another brother with a knife. The case was exceptionally cleared.

— Giving false information to the police on the 900 block of Crawford Avenue;

— Financial card fraud on the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard and on the 200 block of Sundale Drive;

— Driving under the influence on West Highland Avenue and South Slappey Boulevard;

— Theft of lost or mislaid property on the 2200 block of Habersham Road;

— Failure to stop at a stop sign on the 1600 block of West Whitney Avenue;

— Injuries from a motor vehicle accident on the 1100 block of Ballpark Lane;

— Suicide attempt on the 600 block of Moultrie Road.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to six calls Sunday. The reports included:

— Theft on the 3000 block of Woodridge Court;

— Auto accident at North County Line Road and Hill Road;

— Disoriented person on the 2700 block of Clark Avenue.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to 25 incidents from Friday into the early hours of Monday. The reports included an outside trash fire, smoke odors, a brush fire and EMS assistance.
