ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 40 incidents Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Theft by taking a $200 bench from a porch on the 1300 block of South Slappey Boulevard;
— Possession of marijuana on the 300 block of Flintside Drive and on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 400 block of Kingswood Court;
— Simple battery on the 800 block of West Whitney Avenue;
— Simple assault, a man pulled up his shirt and displayed a hand gun on the 800 block of Willow Street;
— Theft by taking of an upright freezer from the backyard on the 2300 block of Evergreen Drive;
— Robbery by snatching, after a vehicle crash on the 1200 block of Schley Avenue, a driver stole a cell phone from the other driver and fled the scene on foot;
— Drunken driving on the 2600 block of Westgate Drive;
— Burglary on the 1600 block of Cromartie Beach Drive and on the 700 block of Wheeler Drive;
— Entering auto on the 100 block of North Slappey Boulevard and on the 300 block of McKinley Street;
— Simple battery (domestic violence) on the 2500 block of West Albertson Drive, the 1900 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 2800 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 800 block of Gordon Avenue, on the 200 block of Butler Street and on the 1300 block of Edgerly Avenue;
— Interference with an animal control officer serving a summons for inhumane treatment on the 1700 block of Oakridge Boulevard;
— Animal at large (two counts) and no rabies tags (two counts) on the 1200 block of Radium Springs Road;
— Cat in a trap left out in the rain on the 600 block of West Third Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 24 calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Traffic crashes on the 4300 block of Radium Springs Road, the 5700 block of Goldenrod Road, the 3000 block of Clark Avenue and the intersection of GA 520 and County Line Road;
— Family violence ( verbal) on the 500 block of Pine Bluff Road;
— Aggravated assault, two drunk men got into an argument and one brandished two kitchen knives while trying to stab the other, on the 1400 block of Liberty Expressway;
— Obstruction of an officer on the 3300 block of Sylvester Road;
— Dog bite on the 1700 block of West Oakridge Drive.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 66 calls on Thursday. There were 51 medical calls, 13 trauma calls and two other calls. Medical calls included, two chest pains, six respiratory problems, one nausea vomiting, one altered mental state, two diabetic complaints, four seizures, six mental problems, two miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrest, two stroke symptoms and 24 various medical. Trauma calls included eight vehicle crash injuries, three falls and two fights/assaults. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
LEE SHERIFF: Lee County deputies responded to at least eight calls, according to police reports.
Deputies responded to incidents including:
— A 15-year-old Lee County High School student ran away from home Thursday and was found safe Friday by deputies.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to seven calls including:
— Two EMS assists, two active alarms, fire in a barrel and two false alarms.
