ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 36 incidents Wednesday into the early hours of Thursday, according to available reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Burglaries on the 1600 block of Schley Avenue, the 400 block of Jeffries Avenue and the 1900 block of South Flintlock Drive;
— Forgery on the 1300 block of Whispering Pines Road;
— Entering an auto on the 700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Disorderly conduct; fight at a school bus stop on the 600 block of West Society Avenue;
— Battery; fight on the 500 block of West Society Avenue;
— Missing person on the 1400 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Motor vehicle theft on the 300 block of Moultrie Road;
— Possession of drug paraphernalia on the 1300 block of East Residence Avenue;
— Theft by taking on the 2200 block of Juniper Drive;
— Simple battery (domestic) on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue;
— Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 300 block of South Jackson Street, the 1600 block of Schley Avenue and the 1400 block of East Roosevelt Avenue;
— Assault (family violence) on the 1600 block of Schley Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 10 calls Wednesday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Domestic violence (verbal) on the 100 block of Bennett Drive and the 3700 block of Hamilton Drive;
— Harassing phone calls on the 900 block of Barbragale Avenue;
— Robbery (snatching); a man stole two cartons of Newport cigarettes from a convenience store on the 2100 block of Cordele Road. The man drove away in a dark-colored PT Cruiser with a Landmark Auto Sales drive-out tag.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 54 calls on Wednesday. There were 38 medical calls, 10 trauma calls and six other calls. Medical calls included three chest pains, five respiratory problems, one person fainted, four diabetic complaints, two seizures, two obstetrics calls, one mental problem, four miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrest and 15 various medical issues. Trauma calls included four vehicle crash injuries, four falls, one burn and one laceration.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to 10 calls Wednesday, including a cardiac arrest, a power line down, six activated alarms, a public service presentation and a structure fire ignited by unattended cooking that caused $6,000 in damage to the structure’s kitchen.
