ALBANY, Ga. — Albany police responded to at least 44 incidents Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, according to available police reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Theft by taking a catalytic converter on the 100 block of Delta Street;
— Theft by taking tires from a vehicle on the 2900 block of Sylvester Road;
— Burglary on the 200 block of Cordele Road, the 400 block of Lipsey Drive, the 700 block of 10th Avenue and the 900 block of 18th Avenue;
— Theft by taking on the 1100 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Theft by taking cash from a restaurant on the 1200 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Theft by taking an air conditioner on the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Aggravated assault, a fight on the 500 block of Holloway Avenue;
— Pedestrian in roadway on the 700 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Domestic (unfounded) on the 600 block of Johnson Road, the 500 block of Jeffries Avenue and the 700 block of Whitney Avenue;
— Larceny (family violence) on the 600 block of West Second Avenue;
— Assault (family violence) on the 1100 block of Baker Avenue, the 300 block of Oakridge Drive and on the 1200 block of Ninth Avenue;
— Threats (family violence) on the 1400 block of Whitney Avenue
— Simple battery (domestic) on the 700 block of Wheeler Avenue and the 500 block of Park Lane.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least nine calls, according to police reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
— Found property, a .38-caliber pistol was found after it fell from a passing car at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Dorough Avenue. A check on the gun had negative results;
— Traffic arrest on the 2300 block of Nelms Road, the 3700 block of Blue Springs Road and the intersection of Ebony Lane and Martin Luther King Drive;
— Traffic crash (private) on the 2500 block of South Hibiscus Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 57 calls on Wednesday. There were 38 medical calls, 15 trauma calls and four other calls. Medical calls included three chest pains, six respiratory problems, two nausea vomiting, two faint, one altered mental state, four mental problems, three miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrests, two stroke symptoms, one choking and nine various medical. Trauma calls included nine vehicle crash injuries, four falls and two fights/assaults. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
