ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 34 incidents Tuesday into the early hours of Wednesday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— In a report made available Wednesday, police reported a 6:30 p.m. Monday armed robbery at Pico de Gallo Mexican Restaurant on the 2300 block of East Broad Avenue. According to the report, a Hispanic man entered the restaurant, brandished a handgun and demanded money. He ran away with an undetermined amount of cash;
–Theft by taking, a felony, on the on the 2000 block of Sharon Drive;
— Two-vehicle arson fire on the 100 block of Westcott Lane;
— Theft by shoplifting; a man ran into a convenience store, grabbed some 5-Hour Energy drinks and ran away on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road;
— Burglaries on the 300 block of Meadowlark Drive, the 400 block of Robinson Avenue and the 1200 block of Creamer Street;
— Disorderly conduct; fights on the 600 block of Sands Drive and the 800 block of Baldwin Drive;
— Entering auto on the 1800 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Forgery on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road;
— Battery on the 400 block of South McKinley Street;
— Possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, on the 500 block of Tift Alley;
— Simple battery on the 600 block of West Society Avenue;
— Aggravated assault, cruelty to a child (family violence) in the third degeree, on the 400 block of South Van Buren Street;
— Stalking (family violence) on the 1100 block of Avalon Avenue and the 200 block of Johnson Road;
— Simple battery (domestic violence) on the 2000 block of Gillionville Road and the 3100 block of Graystone Lane;
— Assault (family violence) on the 100 block of Marie Road;
— Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 1600 block of West Waddell Avenue, the 1500 block of West Waddell Avenue, the 1300 block of North Seventh Avenue, the 300 block of Flintside Drive and the 2000 block of Coves Court.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County Police responded to at least 16 calls Tuesday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
— Traffic arrest for unlicensed driving on the 100 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Internet crimes against children investigation on the 2100 block of Habersham Road;
— Traffic crash with injury on the 700 block of the Liberty Expressway;
— Theft of a $250 Hitachi circular saw from a backyard on the 1500 block of Hancock Road;
— Family violence on the 3200 block of War Eagle Avenue;
— Public drunkeness on the 1400 block of the Liberty Expressway.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 58 calls on Tuesday. There were 36 medical calls, 21 trauma calls and one other call. Medical calls included five chest pains, one diabetic complaint, one seizure, one obstetrics call, one mental problem, two miscellaneous pain calls, one allergic reaction, two stroke symptoms and 14 various medical issues. Trauma calls included 16 vehicle crash injuries, one fall, two lacerations, one eye injury and one fight/assault.
LEE SHERIFF: Lee County deputies responded to at least seven calls Tuesday, according to reports. Deputies responded to incidents including:
— Simple battery and criminal trespass (both family violence) on the 100 block of Century Road;
— Wanted persons on the 100 block of Apache Drive and the 300 block of Cyprus Point Circle;
— Fraud on the 100 block of Robertson Drive;
— Entering auto on the 1700 block of Smithville Road;
— Theft on the 100 block of Wood Drive.
ALBANY FIRE: Albany firefighters responded to seven calls including a fire at about 2:20 a.m. involving two vehicles ablaze at 133 Westcott Lane. The fire is under investigation as arson, according to a report. The fire caused about $10,000 in damages to the vehicles. It took 200 gallons of water to put the blaze out. No injuries were reported; two activated alarms, a grass fire, a trash fire, an activated alarm due to unattended cooking and a pull station alarm unintentionally pulled.
