Police seek Dollar General robber

ALBANY — Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Dollar General store in northwest Albany. Witnesses told officers that around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday a black male in his 20s to early 30s entered the store at 2017 N. Slappey Blvd. and demanded money at knife point.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken, police officials say, and the bandit fled on foot toward the Garden Too Apartments on Whispering Pines Road.

The suspect is described as dark-complected and wearing dark clothing, possibly a dark shirt with gray or dark green cargo pants.
