PREP BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Terrell Academy girls sink Crisp Academy

CORDELE — Terrell Academy improved to 7-1 on the season with a big 51-42 victory at defending Class A GISA state champion Crisp Academy Tuesday night.
The Lady Wildcats buckled down on Terrell’s leading scorer – Marilauren Farr – and held her to 12 points. However, Alana McCook made up for it, scoring 13 points as the Lady Eagles won again.
Crisp Academy was led by Parker Krause’s 20 points.
PELHAM GIRLS 70, VALDOSTA 54: Pelham topped Class AAAAAA Valdosta for the second time in three days behind 24 points from Herald Super 6er and Arkansas signee Briunna Freeman. Mahogany Randall added 10 points for the Lady Hornets, who improved to 4-0 on the season.
Asia Harrison led Valdosta with 22 points.
RANDOLPH-CLAY GIRLS 60, MILLER COUNTY 18: Alisha Mathis led Randolph-Clay with 11 points as the Lady Red Devils routed Miller County.
Shaayliah Lewis and Herald Super 6er Kobi Thornton each finished with 10 points.
COLQUITT COUNTY GIRLS 61, BAINBRIDGE 50: The Lady Bearcats lost their first game of the season to fall to 3-1. Patra Parris led Bainbridge with 16 points, while Tameria Lewis finished with 12. Alexis Russ finished with seven.
WESTWOOD GIRLS 64, SOUTHWEST GEORGIA ACADEMY 21: Westwood improved to 6-0 on the season with a rout of Southwest Georgia Academy. Morgan Singleton led the way with 14 points, Lexi Davis added 12, Karlie Jones finished with 11 and freshman McKenlee Coleman added 10 points for the Lady Wildcats.
DEERFIELD-WINDSOR GIRLS 57, GEORGIA CHRISTIAN 44: Deerfield-Windsor improved to 4-2 on the season with a victory at Georgia Christian. The Lady Knights were led by Joyner Tyson’s 13 points. Marry Warrington added 11.
TERRELL ACADEMY BOYS 54, CRISP ACADEMY 24: On the road in Cordele, Terrell Academy won its second game in as many nights. The Eagles used 14 points from Raleigh Carlson and nine from Tyler Myers to top Crisp Academy.
The Wildcats got 11 points from Cole Melton in the loss.
GEORGIA CHRISTIAN BOYS 48, DEERFIELD-WINDSOR 45: In Valdosta, Christian Wallace led Deerfield-Windsor with 21 points in a losing cause as the Knights fell to Georgia Christian to fall to 1-3. The Knights will play host to Westfield on Friday night.
SOUTHWEST GEORGIA ACADEMY BOYS 63, WESTWOOD 43: Southwest Georgia won its first game of the season with a victory over Westwood. The Warriors were led by Quinn Laguardia’s 38 points. Laguardia sank seven 3-point baskets in the game. Perry Bridges added 10.
Collier Baggett led Westwood with 24 points.
COLQUITT COUNTY BOYS 58, BAINBRIDGE 47: Colquitt County handed Bainbridge its first loss of the season. Herald Super 6er Tyree Crump led the Bearcats (3-1) with 24 points, while Devonte Jones added 10.
VALDOSTA BOYS 67, PELHAM 59: Pelham fell to Valdosta for the second time this week. Clarence Almond led the Hornets with 26 points, while Kymoski Johnson and Marquavious Haywood scored 10 points apiece in the loss.
SEMINOLE COUNTY BOYS 90, MITCHELL COUNTY 49: Anfernee King led all scorers with 39 points and Seminole County topped Mitchell County for the second time this season. The Indians also got 23 points from Herald Super 6er Jordan Harris, while Jahmyka Pearson added 10.
Mitchell County was led by Disarius Robinson’s 13 points, while Demetrius Jones finished with 11.
RANDOLPH-CLAY BOYS 92, MILLER COUNTY 49: Randolph-Clay went wild in a big victory over Miller County. Keyshawn Baker led the way with 23 points, while Herald Super 6er Gary McCrae added 15 points.
The Red Devils also got 17 points from Cody Brown, while Qualin Jones and Kevin Brown scored 10 points each.
Late Monday
SOUTHLAND GIRLS 61, SOUTHWEST GEORGIA 44: Madison McPherson recorded her first double-double of the season to help the Lady Raiders top Southwest Georgia Academy. The sophomore finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Kendall Crew added 17 points, while Ella Hawkins finished with 14 points.
The Lady Raiders will play host to Westfield on Saturday.
TERRELL ACADEMY GIRLS 65, HIGHLAND CHRISTIAN 18: Marilauren Farr scored 26 points to help the Lady Eagles to a rout of Highland Christian in Valdosta. Alana McCook added nine for Terrell.
TERRELL ACADEMY BOYS 67, HIGHLAND CHRISTIAN 57: Raleigh Carlson led Terrell Academy with 18 points, while Gable Freeman tossed in 17 to lead the Eagles past Highland Christian. Conor Walsh finished with 15 for the Eagles.
