Rex Durham elected chair of Southwest Georgia Farm Credit Board
The Board of Directors of Southwest Georgia Farm Credit has elected Rex LaDon Durham to the position of chair of the board.
BAINBRIDGE – The Board of Directors of Southwest Georgia Farm Credit has elected Rex LaDon Durham to the position of chair of the board. George Thomas Harrison Jr., was elected to the position of vice chair of the board.
Durham, a resident of Blakely in Early County, joined the board in 2018. He is a graduate of Mercer University with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. He owns and manages a peanut-buying point, Bluffton Peanut LLC, and operates a trucking company, Bluffton Freight Company.. Durham is a licensed grain/seed dealer, maintains a beef cattle herd, and rents his row crop land.
Harrison is an appointed director and a resident of Thomasville in Thomas County. A graduate of Florida State University with degrees in accounting and finance, he is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner in the Lanigan & Associates P.C. CPA firm, where he practices as a tax partner specializing in taxation with special interest in timber, real estate investment and development, and pass-through entities. Harrison joined the board in 2017.
Other members of the board include James H. Dixon Jr. of Camilla; William A. Bell III of Climax; John M. Bridges Jr. of Brinson; Lee Bush of Bainbridge; R. Eric Cohen of Whigham, and Ted Milliron of Shellman.
