Staff Reports

It appears as if Dougherty County’s longest current serving commissioner will get four more years after a solidifying a close victory today.

An unofficial tally including all but absentee and early voting totals gave Stone the win by seven percentage points, or a 90-vote margin.

With more than 1,500 votes cast countywide during early voting, it is possible that a strong voter turnout for Thomas could swing the election his way.
