DOUGHERTY COUNTY COMMISSION
The Dougherty County Commission will meet at 10 a.m. in Room 100 of the Albany Government Center for their regular work session.
PROFESSIONAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE MEETING
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital’s Professional Affairs Committee will meet at 12:3o p.m. in the Willson Board Room at Phoebe.
MISS DEERFIELD-WINDSOR SCHOOL PAGEANT
Find out who the new Miss Deerfield-Windsor will be tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Albany Municipal Auditorium. Tickets are $15.
WINGS OF FREEDOM TOUR
Nov. 4-6, SWGA Regional Airport, located at main ramp, 3905 Newton Road. A WWII Vintage Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, Consolidated B-24 Liberator and North American P-51 Mustang will be on display in as Part of 110-city nationwide tour. Visitors are invited to explore the aircraft inside and out. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children under 12. WWII Veterans can tour through the aircraft at no cost. Visitors may also experience the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to actually take a 30-minute flight aboard these rare aircraft. Flights on either the B-17 or B-24 are $425 per person. TUESDAY
SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES
Albany State University Professors Christopher Hendley, Mimi Noda, and Deanna Weber present a Halloween-themed night of music, with the Addams Family also making a special appearance. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the ACAD Auditorium at Albany State University. Admission is free.
WEDNESDAY
AVIATION COMMISSION MEETING
The Albany Aviation Commission will meet at 5 p.m. at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport, where they will discuss Phase 3 of construction on the airport terminal.
SATURDAY
BOBBY DEEN BOOK SIGNING
Albany native and chef Bobby Deen will be signing copies of all of his cookbooks at the Albany Welcome Center, 112 N. Front St., from 10 a.m. – noon. There will be door prizes offered, including the opportunity for four couples to win lunch with Bobby and his wife, Claudia, at the Hilton Garden Inn after the event.
DECKING THE HALLS
Sherwood Baptist Church hosts two sessions of holiday decorating ideas. The event will be in Sherwood’s Fellowship Hall, 2201 Whispering Pines Road.
