ATHENS — Georgia’s Harris English was chosen as a Second-Team All-American on Wednesday by PING and the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Earlier this week, the GCAA selected the Bulldogs’ Russell Henley as a First-Team All-American.

English, a junior from Thomasville, finished the season ranked eighth nationally by the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. English garnered medalist honors at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate and the Olympia Fields Invitational, and he was one of the 10 semifinalists for the Ben Hogan Award. He was chosen as a First-Team All-SEC performer by the league’s coaches. English finished the season with a 71.86 scoring average.

English was a Third-Team All-American in 2008 and 2009.
