Thomasville plans semi-annual Sidewalk Sale

THOMASVILLE — Southwest Georgians are encouraged to make plans to spend the day shopping and dining in downtown Thomasville during the city’s semi-annual Sidewalk Sale on Sept. 17. The event begins at 10 a.m. and is always an economic boost for downtown Thomasville businesses.
“Downtown merchants will be offering great deals on end-of-season merchandise and showcasing new fall finds,” Brandy Avery, the city of Thomasville’s Main Street Manager, said in a news release. “Our sidewalk sales specifically support our local businesses by promoting local shopping, generating increased sales during this popular event.”
Downtown Thomasville features more than 100 unique specialty shops, antique stores, and award-winning restaurants.
“Our downtown is easily walkable with our businesses located within a leisurely stroll of one another,” Avery noted. “We also have a great variety of bars and restaurants and other eateries, so you can find a place to refuel and relax as you’re shopping throughout the day.”
