ALBANY — The 2023 Georgia Economic Outlook will probe the possibility of a housing slump and the impact of inflation on the Albany MSA.
The state’s premier economic forecast will be discussed in Albany on Wednesday at the Hilton Garden Inn on South Front Street.
Since 1983, business and civic leaders from across Georgia have turned to University of Georgia economists to provide the perspective and analysis they need to thrive in the coming year.
While recent headlines have focused on inflation and fears of recession, Georgia’s history shows not all industries are affected uniformly. The Economic Outlook is a chance to learn which sectors of Georgia’s economy will rise above the turbulence in 2023.
Keynote speaker Peter Ajongwa Ngwafu, a professor of public administration and dean of the College of Business, Education & Professional Studies at Albany State University, will deliver the 2023 economic forecast for the Albany region, and Terry College of Business Dean Benjamin C. Ayers will deliver the state forecast.
The Selig Center for Economic Growth at the Terry College of Business provides the forecast data and analysis. For more information and to register for the Georgia Economic Outlook, visit www.terry.uga.edu/eo.
