Walmart hiring for new Albany Neighborhood Market
Walmart Neighborhood Market set to open this winter

ALBANY — As construction of a new Walmart Neighborhood Market on North Slappey Boulevard nears completion, the company has opened a temporary hiring center where it hopes to fill 95 association positions.
According to a press release issued Friday by Walmart media relations, the temporary hiring center is located at 2510 Archwood Drive in Albany and will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The release stated that the majority of the 95 associates the company is looking to hire will begin work in December to help prepare the new store for its grand opening, which is expected sometime this winter.
“We are excited to create jobs and bring a new grocery option to Albany,” said store manager Jason Folson in the release.
Although exact numbers were not provided, the release said the company intends to hire both full and part time associates, both of which are eligible for certain benefits programs.
In addition to visiting the temporary hiring center the company is also accepting applications online at http://careers.walmart.com.
