I enjoyed T. Gamble’s article about the fruitcake discovery getting a chilly reception. I heard about that on the radio. Maybe my fruitcake I received one year may be hid in the stockpile, too. Thank you,. T Gamble.
Albany State University IT guy Phillip Davis rocks. He helped me through the process of trying to get ready for fall semester 2017. Thanks again, Phillip Davis at IT.
My family and I had lunch at the Lunchroom: 2125 Newton Road and the food taste and service was the greatest. In addition, we were so moved when a lady came in to say that she had encountered some small children who said they were very hungry and parents were not available (never found out where the parents were: sad). Without a flinch, the owner told the lady to bring the children in the restaurant and sit them down. He then fed all of them a well-balanced, nutritious meal and never asked for a penny. The lady informed us that he is always kind and gracious like that. Now that is what we all should do as Christians.
Cindi Cox is such a welcome addition to The Albany Herald. Don’t we all need someone with a positive outlook?
A great big shout-out and thank you to Master Bodyworks for putting up with this lady and doing a great job getting my car put back together.
Very happy birthday wishes to Carl Young of Pearly’s and his beautiful wife, Traci.
Thank you, Albany Herald, for having the Bright Side. Things can go very wrong in life, but it’s good to have the Bright Side.
My friends from Atlanta gently kid me about living in a small town, but when I had a minor complaint about the newspaper, I mentioned it to the editor at church, and he went and got me a fresh copy before the coffee hour was over. Can’t beat that! (No, I’m not Jim Hendricks’ mother.)
