Looking forward to the upcoming season of the Albany Symphony. Very glad to hear they will be playing at the amphitheatre next year! If you’ve never been to a symphony performance, give it a try. We are lucky to have a first-class symphony in Albany!
As I look at the news you always see the praise that the Boys and Girl Club gets. I just want to put out there that Recreation and Parks Centers and Gyms/Athletics Divisions have been a great impact on our children as well. The City Recreation and Parks Staff need to be given some praise on what they do and will continue to do. Thanks, Recreation and Parks, for making a difference in my children’s lives. Continue on what you are doing.
Kudos to the city of Albany downtown for the Fourth of July celebration. Everything was clean. Vendors were clean and impressive. Also, the bathrooms were clean.
I really miss my pharmacist, Mike Ward, at Walgreens on North Slappey. We lost him not long ago and I do miss him. However, there’s a great guy there now named Greg. You gotta go by and meet him. You’ll love his service and that great smile he has.
I hope all the residents around Albany shop at the Walmart grocery on North Slappey. They have the best cashiers. They’re so friendly, so likable and always smiling and asking about your well-being. Helpful anyway they can be.
