Bright Side — June 8, 2016

Thank you to the Herald editorial staff for the moving editorial in Monday’s Herald concerning the significance of the anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 1944. With the passage of time the supreme importance of the Normandy landings by both paratroopers and ground troops in saving the imperiled fate of western civilization has faded in the consciousness of many Americans, especially those of the younger generation whose lives would be so different today without the sacrifice of those brave souls.
