As a cancer patient, I would like to thank my my urologist, Dr. Daugherty, and his staff from Albany Urology and Dr. Mendenhall and his staff at Radiation Oncology Associates for the good plan and excellent treatment that I received during my battle with prostate cancer. I know that the monitoring will go on for a while, but what a caring group of people. Thanks.

As a daily reader of The Herald, I am constantly impressed with the reporting expertise of those reporting the local news, many of their articles being quite lengthy in order to properly explain the subject matter. I can only imagine the time needed for research, followed by the time required to put it all together and the write-up. Thanks for all that hard work and keeping your readers informed.

Carters Grill: superb service, delicious meal, impeccable decorations and great patience displayed by staff and owners at the Mother’s Day breakfast for senior citizens. Thank you and cannot wait to return for the great prices and awesome food. Well done.

I want to tell Albany about two people that work at Walgreens, 300 block of North Slappey. Christian is wonderful and will help you in the photo department, as she did me. Got a beautiful Mother’s Day gift printed out right then and there. Christian, you’re a doll baby. The second doll baby is the cashier Brianna. She is so friendly and so welcoming at the front door. She was wishing all mothers a happy Mother’s Day.

I have met many of the EMTs and paramedics of Lee County and Dougherty County, but I have to tell you about two young men who answered a call on Graves Springs Road. Chandler Freeman and Brandon Brown answered the call to the this woman who was in dire need of their help. They were professional, compassionate and they knew the ropes when it came to getting her to the hospital. In my opinion, they saved her life
