Many thanks to the Albany Chain Gang who came so quickly to remove one of my trees that fell in my neighbor’s driveway. They were so efficient and hard working. Our community is lucky and blessed to have these wonderful volunteers.

My daughter, Cathy, would like to thank John at Home Depot for helping her very much with the grill. It needed to be put on the truck to bring home, and he did that for her. Thank you. You need a commendation. God bless you.

Yesterday I put a washer on the curb I could no longer use. Also, I put out a lot of garbage — garbage can, the big boxes the washer and supplies came in, limbs and all kinds of stuff. I called 311 and asked them to arrange to have someone pick up the washer. When I came home, the washer was gone, the garbage can was empty, the limbs were gone, the boxes were gone. Everybody did an excellent job — 311, the people that pick up big items and the people that pick up garbage and boxes.

I would like to say thank you to Mr. Edwards, Ms. Banks and Mr. Camp and everyone else who was involved in the gun safety class on Saturday the 16th of September. The class was educational, entertaining and fun. I highly recommend if the class is offered again for folks to take it. It was very interesting and they all did a great job. Thank you for giving up your Saturday so we could all learn something about gun safety.
