LETTER TO THE EDITOR: ASU finally updates computer program

It looks like a lot of change is finally happening for the better at Albany State.

To the Editor:

I’m writing as a proud Albany State mom, and I just wanted to say something I’ve been thinking about lately. My son came home talking about how the computer labs finally got some new computers. He told me how the old stuff was so slow and took forever to turn on, and now they got these new computers and setups that actually work for the students.

He also mentioned that student housing is getting internet improvements, too, and honestly, it’s about time. These kids deserve a safe, modern place to live and study. He said the classrooms are getting new stuff, too, like big modern touchscreens. I even saw the new digital signs around campus, and they look really nice. Makes the place feel more welcoming and modern.

It makes me wonder what else the new president and his new head IT guy are doing to bring ASU out of what my son calls “the dark ages.” I don’t know everything going on behind the scenes, but it looks like a lot of change is finally happening for the better, again, about time. Maybe the newspaper can look into it sometime? I think we would love to know more about what’s changing and what’s next for our kids.

Anyway, just wanted to share that. It feels good to see ASU moving forward..

Thanks
