Spiritual leaders who endorse Trump, you tell Christians to vote their biblical values, but you’re encouraging them to vote for Trump. You are being deceived.

The GOP realized years ago that the easiest way to control and manipulate people is through their religion. So they came up with wedge issues — homosexuality and abortion. They are brought up every election to get support from Christians. But a president can’t overturn a Supreme Court decision. If a judge dies, they can appoint a more conservative one. But you will have better luck trying for a constitutional amendment.

Jesus never mentioned homosexuality but he did tell us not to judge but to love others as he loves us. Jesus tells us we will know them by their fruit (love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control). I see none of these in Trump. He has spent his life chasing wealth from casinos and strip clubs. He brags about his sexual conquests, committed adultery, is demeaning to women and minorities, and promotes racism. He endorses torture and said he would kill terrorists’ families.

Jesus spent his life helping the poor, sick and needy. He taught love, hope, compassion and forgiveness. He opposed greed warned us against those who would manipulate the word of God for their own selfish ambitions. It is your job as spiritual leaders to lead people to the truth, not encourage them to vote for a man that represents everything Jesus was against.
