Why do successful, affluent liberals in the entertainment industry, after having made their fortunes on the backs of ordinary Americans, believe they have the authority to dictate the standards by which the rest of the world lives? Have they made the average person’s life easier? How many of them are actually “giving back” to improve society?

Forty years ago, I took my children to Disney World. It was a great vacation place, enjoyed by all, and has become bigger and better I am told. My husband did not go. His favorite pastime was to relax in front of the TV and watch a football game. I, also, enjoy football. With older sisters cheering him on, our entire family traveled faithfully for many years to watch our son play high school and college football. Today, he is a successful high school football coach with continued family support.

I applaud Lee County natives Phillip Phillips and Luke Bryan for their successes in the music business and strongly support them and others who have realized their dreams. All this is progress made through hard work, dedication, and making the right connections.

However, some recent changes in our country neither represent progress nor recognize the human rights of ordinary citizens who hold tightly to traditional biblical values. The LBGT agenda includes demands for “special rights,” not equal rights. Everyone has the same rights when making the same choices that have worked for hundreds of years. However, demanding that all others change beliefs passed down for generations just because you decide you want to be “different” is unjust.

Springsteen cancelling a concert because North Carolina leaders passed a law forbidding mentally confused, biological males who “think” they would rather be female from using public restrooms designed for females, including young girls – an ideal setup for sex offenders – that is not an “act of conscience,” but an insane bully tactic.
