Why isn’t the city of Albany rated No. 1 for volunteering after natural disasters?

Now you know why the Civic Center is a dead fixture and no one attends sports events and other shows, because of the population. The same thing goes for the closing of Gander Mountain and other businesses.

One problem with Albany is most of its leaders and professionals work in Dougherty County but live in Lee County.

In the campaign, Trump said he would not cut Medicaid, Medicare or Social Security. He has now agreed to cut $800 billion in Medicaid. He’s a liar. Why don’t you Republicans wake up?

To the squawker talking about the rainbow, that rainbow is a reminder that God is keeping his promise to the people. Happy birthday, 66. I’m 86. Bless you.

Pelosi, hang in there, girl. You’re the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party.

The city of Albany should have used some of the money spent to have four speed bumps in one block on Golf Course to fix sinking spots on Alberson.

Yes, Obama was the best. They said he nearly got hit by a boat while taking a walk one day. Iran still loves him, too.

Well, at least the city of Albany is not as bad as Detroit.

That motormouth repeal-and-replace Trump is unstable, so I think you can’t believe nothing he says.

To the squawker that thinks the Georgia Firebirds football games are exciting, that means you don’t know anything about arena football. The Georgia Firebirds were putting out a very poor product.

We may be the 7th worst city in the United States, but I bet we’ve got more Dollar Generals and Family Dollars than anybody else.

Don’t worry, B.J., if things keep going the way they are, we’ll soon be No. 1. Then, you can brag about being No. 1.

I think lawmakers need to toughen the penalties for people who deal hardcore drugs like heroin. These lowlifes get away with destroying people lives. Selling drugs is easy money.

Don’t worry. Albany will soon be No. 1. Since the police have been advised do not chase crooks, they are not caught. So there are more crooks and prison inmates are being released, so there are more to kill each other.

While I may have went to Westover High, I am sad that Albany High is closing. However, alumni, I can see 1,000 of y’all in the stands on this weekend, but during football season I can only count 25-30 of you. Where was your support for the football team?

I bet if USA Today included Lee County and Worth County as part of metro Albany, the numbers would look drastically different. We all know people moved from Albany to Lee County. That can have a drastic effect. Albany is not that bad.

In answer to Carlton Fletcher, anytime Georgia doesn’t offer enough welfare, Medicaid, food stamps, rent subsidies and handicapped parking, all those living off that pick a state that does and go with the taxpayers’ blessing.

I admire B.J. Fletcher, but I think USA Today was right on. Look around. It’s all around you.
