ALBANY — The 2025 middle school football season has wrapped up, and the future looks bright for the Albany-area gridiron scene. Several teams and standout players turned heads this fall, hinting at what’s to come for high school programs across Southwest Georgia.

The Lee West Trojans finished second in the Deep South Conference and came within a late-game drive of winning the championship before falling to Sumter County. Sherwood Christian Academy, meanwhile, completed its second consecutive unbeaten season, extending one of the area’s strongest streaks at any level. Terrell Academy also impressed, with key victories over Deerfield-Windsor, Southland, Southwest Georgia Academy, Tiftarea, and Valwood before falling to Brookwood in the region title game.

To recognize the area’s top performers, The Albany Herald presents its 2025 All-Albany Middle School Football Team, featuring a collection of future stars already making their mark on the field.
