WHY HE’S HERE: The sharp-shooter showed he could light it up from behind the arc last season and in a hurry. The Patriots will look to him to carry a good bit of the offensive load this year.

JORDAN BROWN

HEIGHT: 5-foot-11
YEAR: Sophomore
POSITION: Guard
WHY HE’S HERE: As a freshman last year, Brown showed flashes of being a dynamic scorer, dropping 21 against Manchester in the U-Save-It Classic. Expect the sophomore to fill the scoring void at guard this year.

HEIGHT: 6-foot-4
YEAR: Senior
POSITION: Forward
WHY HE’S HERE: Williams showed he could play above the rim last year. The super athletic big man’s presence will be needed this season as the team heads in a new direction under new head coach Keith Hayes.

TYLER MCCONELL
LEE COUNTY
HEIGHT: 6-feet
YEAR: Senior
POSITION: Guard
WHY HE’S HERE: McConnell came through in the clutch against Kennesaw Mountain in the first round of the playoffs last year, knocking down a late 3-pointer in overtime. McConnell, who averaged 11.5 points per game last season, looks to lead Lee County even deeper into the playoffs in his final year as a Trojan.

WHY HE’S HERE: Wimberly helped Lee County avoid being upset in the first round by scoring a team-high 21 points last year. This season, Terrell Academy will look to him to jump start the offense.

WHY HE’S HERE: Williams was an integral part of the Calhoun team that made it to the state semifinal game. His versatile game already has a handful of colleges throughout the Southeast eyeing him.

POSITION: Guard/Forward
WHY SHE’S HERE: Williams was the consistent scoring threat on the young Dougherty team last year getting to the basket almost at-will. She finished with 19 points against Cairo in the region tourney last year. They will look to her and her aggressive style of play to anchor them again this year.

HEIGHT: 5-foot-10
YEAR: Junior
POSITION: Forward
WHY SHE’S HERE: The Lady Tornadoes pride themselves on shutting down their opponents on defense and they’ll count on Davis to lock down the paint as well as provide an inside presence on offense.

YEAR: Senior
POSITION: Guard
WHY SHE’S HERE: Randall emerged as one of the Lady Hornets’ leading scorers last season and as a result, the team captured its third straight region title. The Lady Hornets expect more of the same from her as they go for four.

PELHAM
HEIGHT: 5-foot-9
YEAR: Senior
POSITION: Forward
WHY SHE’S HERE: Thomas is no stranger to the Super 6 lineup having been selected for the second straight year. She lived up to the title last season as she helped lead Pelham to a 23-1 regular season record. She scored a team-high 20 against Berrien in the regular-season finale.

JAMYA MCDANIEL
TERRELL COUNTY
HEIGHT: 5-foot-8
YEAR: Junior
POSITION: Guard
WHY SHE’S HERE: McDaniel played a significant role in Terrell County’s run to the state title game. She showed her shooting touch by hitting back-to-back treys in the clutch against Greenville in the semifinals. She’s one of the few returning from that team and will have an even bigger role this year.

MITCHELL COUNTY
HEIGHT: 5-foot-6
YEAR: Junior
POSITION: Guard
WHY SHE’S HERE: The offense ran through Mobley last season and she consistently delivered, scoring a game-high 15 to eliminate rival Calhoun County from the region tournament last year. New head coach Kerry English will look to the senior to lead the team again this year.
