Albany Monroe Lady Nadas to host Elite Eight after beating Mary Persons

FORSYTH – The Monroe Lady Nadas won again Friday night, beating Mary Persons 66-53 to advance to the Elite Eight of the GHSA girl’s AAA state playoffs.
Monroe (20-9) has earned the home court for the Elite Eight on Tuesday and will White County (22-8) who advanced with a 66-35 win over Franklin County (15-15) Friday night.
Freshman Kie’Aundria Acree led the Lady Nadas Friday night with 28 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Fellow freshman Taylor Mckinzy scored 19 points with four assists and three steals. Senior Ciarra Lunsford added eight points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
